illustrates a Workers Comp policy submission through an on-line wholesaler. This is one of the technology methods that
reduces the redundancy of entry to multiple carrier portals (rating access vendors, agency management system vendors, and
an insurance Exchange can do the same from a workflow point of view). The on-line wholesaler, because it is a licensed insurance entity, can increase market access for an agency making
it possible for it to write business to non-appointed carriers that the on-line wholesaler represents. In this case,
the agency is able to inherit the appointment for the given transaction. |
